HBX Sauna
The Hot Box Detox sauna was originally designed as a modular infrared sauna to be constructed from within an existing 8” x 10” spa room. The idea for modular construction from within, or inside out, as opposed to traditional construction with the outside-in method is part of the patent pending sauna design. To fit within the 8’ x 10’ space the HBX dimensions needed to be 7’ x 9’ with the 7’ wall accommodating the front sliding door, and the opposite 7’ wall banked solid with infrared heaters. The front door needed to slide rather than swing open to comply with all building code hallway space requirements given the 9’ length of the sauna. The back 9’ wall was designed to be free of infrared heaters and solid so that certain isometric exercises such as wall sits could be performed by clients while facing the virtual instructor on the TV monitor mounted within the opposite 9’ wall. In order to generate sufficient radiant heat, the 9’ wall with the TV monitor was also designed with banks of infrared heaters. The 7’ wall with the sliding front door houses a conveniently located thermostat and timer with an LED dashboard. The bottom of the front wall is also equipped with infrared heaters. All of these design features are patent pending. The sauna comes equipped with a 32” Samsung Smart TV and a Samsung sound bar is mounted inside of the sauna to provide a rich Audio Visual experience.
The 7’ x 9’ footprint comfortably fits three people using our branded workout mats and towels. The Hot Box Detox workout mats and towels were designed to withstand the heat environment and are required for the safety and effectiveness of the HBX workouts.
