Hot Exercise…the HBX-Factor for Your Fitness Business
Let’s give credit where credit is due. Exercise combined with heat has been popularized by the hot yoga movement for sure. Most hot yoga studios, such as Bikram practice at a temperature of 104 or 105 degrees Fahrenheit (convection heat, or in other words heated air in the room) and with a humidity level of 40% so as to re-create the climate of India where yoga originated. Aside from the attempt to give the feel of India in the classes, greater flexibility is the main reason given as to the purpose for heating the yoga studio.
No doubt, exercising in any heated environment will provide for greater flexibility during the workout but it is not the only benefit from a properly heated workout environment.
I have taken Bikram and it is an excellent practice. However, consider the quality of the air in the room. While it may replicate the feel of India, it is not optimal for “hot exercise” and it is because of the “old school” room heating methods (traditional central heating, wall or space heaters).
Enter the HBX-Factor…
Workouts in a hot environment created from infrared heaters yield many benefits beyond the typical hot yoga studio environment including greatly accelerated workout recovery and detox along with improved metabolic efficiency. Additionally, the air is much more comfortable to breath for workouts in infrared heat.
The Hot Box Detox infrared sauna creates a superior Hot Exercise environment for a small group of three people to enjoy. It is inexpensive to set up and only takes up a small amount of the real estate. This mini-studio yields a very high revenue return for only 63 square feet of space. We have documented same store sales monthly revenue increases from 20 to over 100% recently.
Hot exercise can be huge to any fitness or wellness facility’s real estate efficiency using the Hot Box Detox (HBX) infrared saunas. It can be the new success X-Factor, or HBX-Factor for any club, gym or spa!
